Hi y'all. Think I'm ready to commit to the warBRD base and the Virpri long desk mount (+ the short desk mount for my throttle). Wondering if anyone could recommend an extension length for that kind of setup?

I mostly fly the F/A-18, but find myself in the ones with the spinning wings irl and thus spend a lot of time pirouetting in the Huey - so precision movement is important!

if you want to use extensions buy a CM2 base, I have both bases and it is far easier to customise the stick centering and tension with a CM2 base

To be honest, I don't think you really need an extension as it has a fairly long throw anyway (22 degrees, I think). With an extension you may run into issues with clearance with the WarBRD base, however an S shaped extension may provide sufficient clearance. Have you worked out roughly what length extension you need?

As HC Official said you may be better off with the CM2 base as it has a smaller throw compared to the WarBRD and so shouldn't hit the desk mount when you push forward on the stick.

I have both a warbrd and CM2 base allong with deskmounts (V1 version - longer than current V2-L version)

I also have all available extensions that virpil have made

You want to use an extension? best bet is to get a CM2 base to get the best use of it

You got to remember adding an extension will move your grip higher up .... to high and it will be uncomfortable to use
