sycholic Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Anyone found any docs on what startup params are out there? Really tired of having to open steam fully just to launch DCS in VR mode vs desktop mode. I normally just launch from the quick launch by right clicking on the steam icon and picking what program BUT.... DCS always launches in desktop mode this way does not even give you the popup asking what you wanna do (which is how it acts if you launch it from the 'play' button.) Basically I need a VR parameter to pass to run.exe (the DCS program) or if there is a different .exe that needs to be run for VR and if so where?
Gruman Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) You mean like this? dcs.exe --force_enable_VR dcs.exe --force_disable_VR There is also one vor SteamVR: --force_steam_VR Only work, if the parameter is added to dcs.exe. Default shortcuts of DCS go to updater.exe, which wont work with those parameters. sycholic Posted December 19, 2019 Author Posted December 19, 2019 (edited) yes exactly... yeah I found out steam VR really fubars the game quality and overrides both IG and Oculus settings... soon as I started using Oculus VR option all interiors got so much more detailed. I found them using hexedit cuz I gave up asking :) but thanks options all use -- as you shown. trace net-server net-password net-slot noreplay blocktrackviews prepare trackfile avi nopause console continuetrack tracktest automode writedir basedir editor manifest-name force_enable_VR force_disable_VR force_steam_VR force_varjo_VR new-login old-login norender server webgui web_browser silent_shaders_compilation hasp MAC some of these might not be valid but a bunch of them seem still in place. as well as the VR ones you told me there couple others apparently too. which is interesting.
