BrzI Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 I do not have TrackIR so I find it acceptable to turn this feature/cheat on... Has anybody gotten it to work so far ? Thanks
Tiger-II Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Padlock is not cheating. It has a limited range and you must be looking roughly in the right place. It won't magically track anything. As for people thinking it is a cheat - I disagree. I can't use TrackIR or its clones as it makes me motion sick, and VR has similar deleterious effects. Padlock enables me to have SA on my jet and look at the target - a good compromise. Those that call it a cheat are themselves cheating by denying the ability to level the playing field against TrackIR and VR users. BrzI Posted December 26, 2019 Author Posted December 26, 2019 Hi Tiger II, I am aware that it should only work very close in. But I have not been able to get it going at all with the JF-17. Have you had any luck in that respect ? Thanks

Have you had any luck in that respect ? Thanks I'll be able to test it later today. I found previously you must almost center the aircraft on the screen to padlock it before it will work. If it is off to the side it won't lock (this was with the F-5; I'm guessing the JF-17 will be the same). BrzI Posted December 27, 2019 Author Posted December 27, 2019 I tried padlocking a friendly that was smack in the middle of my HUD. No joy. Am I using the correct key ? Num0 ? Thanks
Terrorban Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Nothing wrong with using padlock unless it follows the enemy aircraft perfectly through the cockpit blind spots. Like if it is able to track the enemy when they are below the jet then it would be a little cheatsy but then again people go 3rd person to track other jets as well when allowed in server so all seems fair to me. BrzI Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 Back to my original question. Does padlock work for anyone in the JF-17 ?
Tiger-II Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Back to my original question. Does padlock work for anyone in the JF-17 ? Sorry for the delay. It does NOT work here, either.
