Hi,

A couple of us were trying buddy lasing and dropping LGBs. A few issues:

1) After the first successful LGB hit, subsequent bombs acted as if not armed. Some failed to track despite consistently good releases.

2) First time laser search is used it works. Every successive attempt fails (SRCH/DET but no TRK).

3) HUD symbology not accounting for the area being looked at. Acts as if pod is looking at a different position when tracking a buddy laser.

4) LGB seems to care if in point track mode. This is incongruous as it has no concept of pod tracking mode.

Ownship LGB employment is intermittent unless only dropping own bombs and not attempting to use SRCH mode (once SRCH is used it seems to bug the pod/LGBs).

Problem can't be replicated at will, however it is guaranteed to occur if dropping 3 or more LGBs, or trying to track another laser.

Both systems latest patch.

just a thought since you mentioned it happens on the 3rd lgb onwards - if you haven't noticed, with LGB's, the fuze setting in a profile doesn't get applied to all the munitions of the same type

e.g. if you're carrying 4*12's you have to set the fuze per pylon in the same profile (you can change pylons after you take off, using the nws button) - if you set the fuze to n+t just once, the 3rd and 4th 12's will be duds unless you set the fuze for the 2nd pylon too

could that be the reason some of your lgb's are not detonating?

No. I'm aware this is the case and set them in advance.

They also fail to track.

LGB self drop self lasering is tested, I dropped 6 LGB (GBU12*4+GBU16*2) in MP situation, all bombs hit my lasering point with no deviation.

I've tried both point track(2 times) and area track (4 times), also auto lasering and manual lasering, everything is fine on my side.

And I tried change lasering code in that attempt too, with no problem.

If U are trying buddy lasering, do remember, multiple laser firing at the same time(with same code, especially with code 1688 ) WILL interfere the LGB, and cause the bomb to miss the TGTs.

Hmm. How can I disable my laser?

Thanks for checking!

That causes it to fire? How do I prevent it firing/safe the laser?
