PITCH gearing ... a step function at 600km/h?

Hi folks,

 

after flying a lot with the Viggen now, and studying the manual, I came to the conclusion that the pitch gearing mechanism at around 600km/h follows a "more or less" step function, not a smooth transition. I often notice a hard "pull" when passing that speed without changing my input.

I just didn'T figure out when it happens and when not.

 

Any comments or observations on this from you side?
