Dama Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 Hey guys, I am a bi confused about how to save my controller settings into diff files. Core question: di I have to save a diff file for each controller per plane/module? (eg do I have to save my throttle assignments say for the 10c sim into one file and the throttle assignments for the Mig29 into another? or does it save all settings for all modules per device into one file?) Side question: I read to also backup the input config files from ...C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input. Is that just another way of backing up my assignments or do I need these files AND the diff file to restore my controlls say on a new pc or after a reinstall? Thanks!

The diff file gets created only if you change something or add something in terms of binding. I have a backup job that I run periodically (and before updates) to make sure I don't have to start from scratch. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
