cercata Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 (edited) You are very inspiring Pikey !!!!! I didn't like the Spitfire, too easy to stall, but now with the AoA haptic feedback I'm starting to love it. Mi implementation is not very accurate, but it's enougth to be usefull. At the moment I can feel high speeds, hihg AoA, high RPMs and high G's. What I'm missing now is lateral forces. For G's I take into acount the total one, not the vertical one, and I ignore the direction. The Vest has 40 vibrating points, 20 in the front, and 20 the back, but if I try to convey too much information, maybe it's not very clear, sometimes less is more. I have to experiment with vibration patterns. The vest manufacturer has an online tool for creating patterns and testing them, in case you are curious about it: https://designer.bhaptics.com/ What do you think would be more helpfull, Sideslip angle or lateral G Forces ? I was wondering about Sideslip angle in the arms ... Edited April 6, 2022 by cercata
cercata Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I just published the first version of my tool for DCS, maybe there is one person interested in testing and giving feedback: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/230379-bhaptics-tactsuit/#comment-4931044
