Are then any multi function buttons on the F18 like the F16?

Hi, I've just started to properly learn the Hornet, after flying in the F16 a lot since it came out, and wondered if there are buttons with multi functions in the Hornet, like in the F16.

 

For example in the F16 holding TMS right for a second will change between RWS mode and TWS mode, holding the nosewheel steer button will cycle between missile types etc...

Yes, but for some reason, some are not implemented yet. For example, SCS Right in A/A mode will always bring up the Radar on the Right DDI, if it's not visible and SCS Aft will bring up the SA page on the AMPCD. SCS Aft will swap between the HSI and the SA page on the AMPCD, in NAV mode.

And of course, we already have some, such as SCS towards the Radar page in A/A mode will engage Fast, Auto Acquisition modes (Bump acquisition will come later). Using the weapon select switch on the stick changes the radar settings as well, as each A/A weapon can have different radar settings pre-loaded or saved by selecting SET on the Radar page.

That's what I can recall right now, off the top of my head. There might be more.
