Bonzo0181
When locking a target with an AIM-120 selected, the dynamic launch zone will display as expected, with Rmax approximately twice as far as no-escape-range. A second afterwards, the DLZ will change: no-escape-range suddenly drops by ~25% and Rmax increases to just under no-escape-range. Provided is a track that shows that firing at the initial Rmax will cause a hit with minimum kinetic energy remaining in the missile: exactly what Rmax is supposed to indicate.F-16 AIM-120 guidance hot.trk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Bouli306
Did not look at the trk but might be that the target is flanking/notching?
Bonzo0181
No, target is hot, 180 aspect angle. So, please look at all information provided before giving answers. I tried it with a flanking target too, about 100-ish degrees aspect, but that one didn't hit at Rmax (by a few hundred feet) due to a lead pursuit course, instead of lead collision, but that's another topic I suppose.
