Good morning.

I am currently looking for a MilSim-Squad (I am based in the EU) that accepts a returning Flightsimmer in their ranks.

I am 41 and started "serious" flightimming with 14 on the F-15 (Strike Eagle 3). After that I tried a lot and played around 1000 hrs on the F-16 (Falcon 4.0). Then I went on to general aviation and spent around 2000 hrs. on the 747 and 737 by PMDG. When the DCS A-10 was released I gave it a short try, but never dove deeper into it and then I took a looong break from flight simulations. Now I want to work my way back. I consider myself a "rookie with a past" :joystick:

What I have to offer as a teammate / wingman:

  • mature and respectful player
  • real (vocal) communication ain't a problem
  • has experience in flight sims, but has to re-learn and practice a lot
  • has (most) of the necessary modules and hardware
  • would love to fly either the F-18 or F-16 or both
  • would love to try the editor as well

So I am currently looking for a group / squad that roughly matches the following criteria:

  • MilSim with the rule, that reallife is always first. I have a Job and a family
  • MilSim without the need to shout "SIR, YES SIR, I WILL DO 100 PUSHUPS, BECAUSE YOU ARE MY SUPERIOR OFFICER, SIR!" I totally agree with a command structure inside the sim, but to me this will always be a game
  • a grown up and mature community...I don't care if you are 16 or 60, I am kind and respectful, so please be it too
  • I am based in Europe. I'd love to play with people from around the world, but cannot play during deepest night times
  • ideally with a few training lessons for returning rookies
  • probably a campaign

Let me know, if you guys are out there.

Hey @lex!

I'd like to point you to our vVFA squad: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=266916

We are Europe-based with members from Scotland, Norway, Belgium, Italy and actually a bunch of Swiss, Austrians and Germans.

We focus on the Hornet and will probably give the Supercarrier a heavy emphasis.

Also, while we try to fly things "by the book" as much as possible, und have training events from CASE I - III, JTAC/FAC(a) etc. following real world procedures as much as possible, we also try to not lose the "fun" factor from sight and certainly don't follow a "rank structure".

If interested, why not send the OP in the thread I linked a PM and hop over on our Discord and have a chat with him? :)

Cheers!
