Retro_One_One Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I have read some confusing stuff regarding Vsync, Triple Buffering on these forums. Can it be done? some people swear by it, but i cannot stop the tearing for the life of me. (TrackIR panning) I have managed to enable AA/AF (Thanks to these forums) and this alone makes my experience 100X better,no more jagged lines on the head down displays! I came across this also and wondered if it works? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=14869 Please any help/advice would be great. Kuky Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 There are few different setting for V-Sync... make sure it's on "Always On" setting, not just "On by default" or some other application dependant setting. Now I don't know about nVidia control pannel as I use ATI cards for many years now, but I think in this they should be the same. Some settings like AA and AF even is set to for example, 4xAA and 8xAF in driver control pannel, if the game itself has got settings for them as well, if you want to enable AA or AF (or both) you need toset in video card driver to "Application" and then enable what ever lever you want in game graphics setting. If it's for LockOn you chose this in video card driver control pannel... I don't recall any game that I used to have V-Sync settings... it's always set in control pannel... and I always have to "Always On" and it works for me. If you are using some other graphics driver utility it can interfere with normal drivers (like ATI CCC and ATI Tray Tool). Also I suggest you don't use video drivers that came with the card... always go to nVidia website and get latest drivers from there (or ATI web for ATI cards).
