Hi to everyone,

I’m a Saitek X52 PRO user (bought in 2005, still perfect, great durability), one of the interesting feature of this hotas is the presence of a mini hat, buttons and a scroller that act as the mouse movement and button.

Today I managed to buy a T50CM2 throttle, and when will be available I’ll buy a Constellation Alpha to replace the x52.

I started watching virpil software tutorials to learn how to setup the device, I learnt few interesting things, like the ability to set axis working as button (I’ll use it on the alpha grip, replacing the analog hat with 4 buttons).

But I haven’t find anything about the ability to setup buttons and hats working as a mouse, pretty useful considering I’m playing with VR, so I move the mouse pointer with the head and simply press buttons and use scroller with the hotas.

So the question, is it possible to setup buttons acting like mouse left and right buttons, and maybe 1 hat for the mouse movements?

Another question about the feature to set buttons from analog axis: I saw the software, but it seems like it’s possible to set only 4 buttons from axis. Can I set up more than 4?

For left and right button binds you will have to use something like joystick gremlin

Check my tutorial videos in my sig, there are 4 main axis to button bindings (global for any selected axis) but EACH AXIS has a subset on bindings per axis for button binds, so there are lot available to be used

Thank you very much.. i'm waiting for the throttle, so i'm studying your tutorials so when will arrive i'm ready to set it up...

I've bought the throttle but i'd like to buy the moongoose t50 grip too, as soon as it will be available.

I have a question about the SHIFT mode on virpil software... is it possible to use a SHIFT button between devices? I mean, i'd like to set a SHIFT button on the pinkie switch on the grip, may i use this switch for shifting my throttle buttons?

what i want to set up is a button on the grip which is a shift state for 1 hat in the throttle to use as mouse pointer. So, if i have understand (and assuming is possible to set shift mode between devices), i need to set the shift state on virpil software, so the throttle hat button will refeer to 8 different logical button (4x2 shift state).

then in Gremlin Joystick i will set the shifted 4 button as axis for the mouse pointer. Is it right?

is it possible to set a shift state even with axis? because i was thinking to use the analog hat on the throttle as mouse pointer... so when no shift pressed the analog hat work as TDC, when shift pressed as mouse pointer... in your opinion will it work? is it possible?

i managed to get the CM2 with mouse working!

i recieved my own 2 days ago (yes, purchased on 25th april.....)

if you're a pc master is really easy to set it working properly.

I managed to have the mouse pointer mover on the analog stick, the one i use for TDC. then i set the left mouse button on the button under the big hat on the right side, and the right mb pressing the hat on the left of TDC.

This configuration is really comfortable.

At first i set up the mouse controls by pressing the pinkie switch on the flight stick, but after few hours of playing i found a bit uncomfortable the needs to keep pressed a button to use the mouse.

So on joystick gremlink i set up 2 modes, one where the analog stick on VRP Throttle send the analog input to VJOY axis (and then set VJOY axis in DCS as TDC controller), another modes where VRP Throttle send the input to mouse movement and pressing. Then i set another button on the stick to switch between modes, so i can use the analog stick as mouse or TDC without keeping a button down.

It's great! if someone need help to set up the throttle (or any other device) with this feature i can send you the profile, but i think i'll make a video to explain how to do that.
