Viking 1-1 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Hey guys, Just wonder how you work around, that we have one radio less than other planes. Usually I have my Tactical tuned in, plus my inflight channel to coordinate with my flight members. But since we need on radio for the data link, I don't know how to proper deal with it. I have to stay on Tactical, that's for sure. But doing my inflight stuff on Tactical is not nice for the others around. Or do you guys fly without data link, which would be a huge deficit in my oppinion? 1 Before you call everything a "bug": RTFM & try again! Thank you. :music_whistling: I9-9900k, 32 GB RAM, Geforce RTX 2080 TI, 128 GB M2 SSD, 1 TB SSD, Track IR, Warthog Hotas
AeriaGloria Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Know your presets and how to change them, also there is a way to switch to UHF+guard and guard only just btw. The reality is that this is the very reason Block 2 has three radios, and is probably what was meant by the marketing info when they said Block 2 has datalink capability. Tiger-II Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 (edited) * Makes chicken noises on Guard * I switch off DL if I need the second radio. It's an easy change on the UFCP. AeriaGloria Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Datalink also turns off your TACAN, fun fact Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

Tonight I had datalink and Tacan going at once on a MP server. However the TACAN option on the HSD page was not visible while datalink was active. I had datalink active and then tried turning on Tacan from the Tacan page. It seemed to go active, but the Tacan option was not visible on the HSD. When I turned off datalink the Tacan option became available. I selected it. TACAN cues displayed on the HSD. I then turned data link back on. The TACAN info continued to be displayed on the HSD. So I then had TACAN cues on the HSD and datalink at the same time. I'm Softball on Multiplayer.
