Smokey43 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 So please forgive me, I am very new to DCS, I am setting up my controller (T16000M) and have a question... I see an option for Throttle and Thurst. I downloaded a Profile for my Joystick and THrottle from a kind person who shared here. My throttle is assigned as "Thrust" with this profile, it is on an axis where it seems when in the middle it is centered. I have tested and it seems that it is the throttle as when I move it above half I believe this kicks on the Afterburners. Am I right about this?? or totally off base? Thanks to anyone who chooses to respond and help.
randomTOTEN Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Aircraft throttles do not have a "center." They are sliders. Look at the throttle inside the cockpit. In game, you can also press Right Control + Enter and it will bring up a display of your flight controls. In both cases, pulling your hardware throttle fully back should cause the cockpit throttles (on the left side of the cockpit), to also move fully back. The line on the control indicator should be at the bottom. This position is IDLE When you move your joystick throttle fully forward, you should see the cockpit throttle also move fully forward. The line on the control indicator moves to the top. This position is full afterburner (MAX). If your controls work in this manner they are correct.
