[FIXED] Exponential memory usage when Master Mode set to BEREDSKAP (STANDBY) after landing

Version: DCS 2.5.6.49314 Open Beta

Issue: Switching "Master Mode Selector" to BEREDSKAP (STANDBY) causes game hang and in the worst (but most likely) case a client computer crash/hang.

 

Reproduction steps: Have RADAR emitters in the mission, fly around, land and switch master mode to BEREDSKAP/STANDBY. DCS will hang on what appears to be analysing the ELINT data, with the longer you fly or more emitters increasing the hang time until all computer memory is used, which if you are lucky Windows will detect after a few minutes and close DCS.

Occurs on both Persian Gulf and Caucasus terrains (only two I have).

 

Example mission on the Caucasus terrain containing blue client Viggen (fuel tank only), eight blue AI F/A-18C (targets for the SAMs and mobile RWR contacts), six blue Vulcans, four red Hawk sites, six red Shilkas and six red SA13s. Flying around the area until the F/A18s died, then landed and switched to BEREDSKAP/STANDBY produced:

Windows Event Viewer:

"Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: DCS.exe (2424) consumed 93881307136 bytes,"

And the last entries in DCS.log:

"2020-05-21 15:08:51.586 INFO VIGGEN: Dumping 1901 memory pieces...

2020-05-21 15:08:51.586 INFO VIGGEN: Analyzing ELINT data. 1901 memorypieces."

While nothing was written to "ELINTData.info".

 

Other information: Steam client version. English cockpit textures only (not full English mod). Tacview installed but bug occurred both with it enabled and disabled. SRS.

System information: Windows 10 Home 64bit, AMD 2700X, 64GB RAM, dynamic pagefile from initial 9GB to max 32GB, RTX 2080.
