ED, can we have a LOD slider for maps?

Looking at the extreme level of detail, I understand why the map runs so much worse than the rest. Option to turn down the towns LOD would help a lot of older systems.

 

 

 

This looks really good, but barely noticable when flying over it. Unnecessary FPS killer.
