Use your old Warthog throttle for nozzle control with the Harrier

WW Throttle is now my main, but I‘ve found some clever uses for my old Warthog especially with the Harrier.

 

1. Bind the right throttle to nozzle angle. To avoid use of afterburner area you can either take out detention, or change axis tune, or recalibrate to get rid of the afterburner zone.

2. Bind slider switch to nozzle stop. Use axis tune (user/slider) so that when you move it to center detent it would correspond to 60 degree or whatever your most common stop is.

3. Since I never use nozzle angle beyond 82 degree, I also tune the nozzle angle such that when the TM throttle lever is pulled all the way down it will be exactly at 82 degree.

4. Bind the leftover buttons and switches to your heart’s content, as if WW throttle doesn’t provide enough switches. Left throttle for example can be used as gear lever.

 

This works extremely well for me. When I need to do a hover at 82 degree or rolling takeoff at 60, I don’t even have to look. The Warthog throttle never fails to impress me with its versatility (especially with moddable detent), definitely still a keeper after all these years.

Thanks buddy, I have the harrier, but have not yet got around to flying it! This will come in useful when I do!

Yes give it a shot, I've been having a blast with the Harrier. The TDC slew switch also works perfectly with this throttle and smooth. On my TMWH throttle, slewing is very spotty with intermittent pause even with Deltasim's mod.
