PoorOldSpike Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) Hi guys, I bought the Persian Gulf map the other day and just wonder why the various stock cargo ships dotted around the Hormuz straits are static? Shouldn't they be moving somewhere? If I edit a ship into the straits it moves fine, but why don't the stocks move? Below: a static stock- Edited June 9, 2020 by PoorOldSpike
Harker Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Because they're map objects, think of them as being part of the scenery. Plus, oil tankers and cargo ships can certainly be stationary for periods of time IRL, waiting for shipments etc. If you place a ship yourself, that ship is a unit, not a map object, so it moves, reacts etc. Also, wrong forum BTW. PoorOldSpike Posted June 9, 2020 Author Posted June 9, 2020 Thanks, at least we can have fun using the static ships for target practice or landing choppers on them..:)
