switching from IE11 to MS Edge Chromium, visited threads not being recognized

After switching from IE11 to MS Edge Chromium I noticed after reading a thread and then going back to the forum the thread is not indicating as having been read...the title is still in bold.

I need to press the browser refresh in order to see which threads have been read, indicated by no longer being in bold font.

 

Any idea how to fix this?
