DCS FIGHTER PILOT Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 I know i'm not the only one to witness this so I know i'm not nuts. Also I have a video! This guy should have been deader than a doornail.
Oceandar Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Its not new and not even dramatic lol, I've seen it plenty of times both in SP and MP. I've been told that it caused by missile got notched at final moment but could not trigger proximity fused (shrug) Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. - Lao Tze
BlackPixxel Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Looks like the target went outside of the seeker gimbal limit. Also, it misses by alot. Proximity fuze range is just a few meters.

Here they look like 10.000ft+ (even though a lot of vital information is missing from that video like altitudes). But if that altitude was already so heavily affected by notching, then I wonder why the AMRAAM lofts at all and doesn't attack from below .. it's useless this way if it does these chenanigans. I would figure this is some sort of defect. Lincoln said: “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."
