DCS FIGHTER PILOT Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Just wondering how accurate Heatblur’s model of the Aim-54 Phoenix is in terms of drag, lift, etc. From what I have heard, they have done an excellent job. Is any of this subject to change once ED reexamines it or is it spot on?
feefifofum Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Heatblur released a ton of information about the way they modeled the AIM-54, you can find a thread from them HERE with a link to the PDF. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
nighthawk2174 Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 If anything's going to get changed it's in all probability the lift. HB had IASGATG do their CFD for the drag values and the results are defintly of the same quality as the 120 CFD done years ago. Lift, however, wasn't touched largely due to how very limited the DCS engine is with those values.
