Snacko Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 I had to replace 2 HDDs on my system, and also had to restore DCS from a 5 week old backup. So before I run anything I am wondering if I am going to lose more module Activations... I read the Sticky post "Sticky: We are now Keyless". All it says is you no longer use Starforce. But what does that mean to me? Do I still have to De-Activate all of my modules or loose one of my Activation Keys? Are there any new or other rules about installing/uninstalling we need to know? Waiting for a reply before I launch DCS.. I cannot afford to lose any more activations. Thanks, Snacko Snack Officer Intel I9-10850K (OC @ 5.0ghz) │ 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3200 │Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24gb - ҉ - Blackshark Cockpit Trainer - ҉ - ♣ Thread | ♥ Download

When you buy something, it is linked to your ED account. You can even buy something from Steam and bring the license key to ED account. When you launch DCS, you login with your ED account. And now it will add that computer to your account for access to the modules. You need only periodically connect to internet with the ED account logged in to keep using. Without internet you get few days "offline" use and it will inform you each start that how much time you have before you need to have online connection again. And you never lost all the keys in previous one. The system generated for you a one key after you had used all of the activation keys. After you had used your last one, it took 30 days to get a new key. So you always had one key to be used for activation. But no activations anymore. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

You say "it will add that computer to your account for access to the modules." So if I change my hardware, motherboard, HDD, SSD, GFX card... It doesn't care about that? I can still install all modules if I can just log in?
