Pello86 Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Hi guys, I’m currently having a issue with mapping for my Thrustmaster A10 warthog. I went through the process of mapping my HOTAS for the F18 hornet and I saved the profile. When I start up DCS I go into settings and controls and load the profile only to find there is switches and bindings that have allocated to different controls. It is really annoying having to remap my HOTAS everytime I play DCS and its rather time consuming. I use one modifier for the hat switch. I use the hat switch for view slow and trim as I am awaiting delivery of my RIFT S VR. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Pello86 Posted July 5, 2020 Author Posted July 5, 2020 No I don’t think so ? Should I ? I just map the HOTAS and save it. Should I map the joystick and save profile and do the same for the throttle ?? David OC Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 No need to "Save" it will auto save once set. When you save, you can save each column. Highlight column "throttle" and save as Warthog throttle. Highlight stick column and save as Warthog stick. The only time I do this type of save, is to import them to the FC3 aircraft. They are all very much the same. Setup one aircraft then import each control column section to the rest of them. Most just take a full save of the Save game folder. C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Saved Games\DCS beta etc Make sure you are setting up the F/A-18 sim and not game. unless using game. If switching you will need to setup both. Or list YOUR game setup and what exactly what you are doing. Not seeing this happening on the forum from anyone else. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing.
