Open community mission - Protect the cruiser (Operation Drifting Freedom)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

We are having our first open community mission this Wednesday and we're looking for four (or more) F-18 pilots to join us. We run our mission this Wednesday, at 19.00 GMT.

You can either:

a) Leave your callsign and Discord name

or

b) Leave your callsign and send me a PM, either on Discord (Harker#0497) or here

and I'll get back to you.

We welcome pilots of all skill levels, the only requirement is that you're familiar with the Hornet's systems, are able to fly without crashing into other people (ideally maintain some formation) and can do basic air-to-air combat. If you're a more experienced pilot, depending on the number of people that show up, you might act as flight lead, if this is something you want.

The scenario is set during the late Cold War, where a US cruiser on patrol hits a sea mine as is adrift towards enemy waters. Redfor takes the chance to launch anti-ship strikes towards it. It's our job to protect the cruiser until it can be repaired.

We use SRS for the mission, so knowing how to use it is required.

We're going to meet on our Discord before the start of the mission, for some briefing and then the flight leads will brief their packages more, once we're in our planes.
