Hi all, thanks for your time. I've been trying to figure out how to track and cycle through targets. When i take of in an A-10, i hit the 7 key to get to air-ground mode. I hit D to go to my mavericks and look for a target on my radar. I get targets within my visual scope and press the tab key. This makes a red box appear around my target. i tap tab to get to a specific one and then i fire maverick. Red box dissapears and target is dead. I hit ctl-tab to clear the track and try to re track a new target. nothing happens. I hit tilde to cycle to another target then hit tab... nothing. can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? I'm really frustrated here.

Don't know if I understood you correctly but correct AG attacking is like that:

- Press 7 key to choose AG mode

- Find target on TV

- Lock it

- Fire

--------------

and here you move your Target Designator to next target manually.

--------------

again:

- Lock

- Fire

[...]

To move (slide) between targets by "~" key you must first designate it in mission editor. There is no other way to cycle targets by this.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

hitting tilde cycles through my enemies on radar and designates them on my hud with a green diamond. Hitting tab tracks the target and designates it with a red box. continuously hitting tab will cycle through enemies allowing me to lock on with maverick without using tv. after i fire my maverick, the red box disapears and i cannot get it to come back. I've tried hitting ctl-tab but it doesn't work.

I can't help you more cause I don't know what red boxes (!) you see... Hmm I think you play with all set to easy. Sry.

I think you are out of AGM-65's.

As long as you have a single mavrik missle left, you will have a picture of the ground in the MFD. If the MFD is black, then you are out of missles.

Also look at the lower left of the HUD display. There should be some text there, one line should list ... AGM65 / 2 (or any number 6 to 1). That would indicate you still have missles left, if you don't see that then you are also out of missles.

You can also look at the load out designator on the instrument panel, in front of you and towards your pilots left knee. I won't go into how to tell exactly what is there, but green lights indicate that you have missles. Red lights indicate that your racks are empty.

Lastly, you could hit F2, and actually LOOK under your plane to see what you have left for missles.

You're playing on "easy radar" mode. This is a misnomer as the A10 has NO radar. If you see a circle on that display you might be able to cycle through targets. Don't know- I use ACE difficulty settings only.

If you see a TV picture and diamonds on the HUD- you can cycle through the marked target INDICATORS (diamonds) but this will NOT bring the weapon's camera to bear on anything. Manual slewing of the Maverick reticle is still required. In order for diamonds to even show up- they have to be specifically designated during the mission making process.
