matcat Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 i am having a problem loading missions in lockon, after i have loaded one or two missions lockon will freeze when loading a mission, i have to ctrl alt delete and it says lockon is not responding then i have to end program to get back to windows, sometimes i cant get to the task manager at all and i have to shut down my pc using the power switch! can anyone help? thanks
rattler Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I had the same problem almost. I would be in a mission have sound picture but everything froze. Had to get out the same way you did. I have had a few of those with LOFC. Went back to v1.02 for reasons I won't get into. added some addons including ones for 1.12a got to choose the right ones from 1.12a as buildings is not an option for building missions but the first scenery mod, GP mod and LOreload work ok. Stable got updated scenery not like 1.03 but respectible. I never found out what caused the problem. I know when I used LOFC and used Merzifon airbase, as soon as you went near the main maintenance hanger where the kc10 was a static object everything would freeze and you had to get out just as you did. You could make missions from there, just had to make sure the maintenance area never popped into view you could place things anywhere else. Not to sure of xp 64 and you have a 8800 vid card. Big guess but I would look on the forum for those two and see if they presented the issue you have. sorry I can't be of more help. Someone will jump in and save the day, I am sure. Cheers.

Hmm.. this happened when the maintenance area popped into view, or when you actually taxiied your player-controlled aircraft there? i.e. what if you just moved the camera there with F12 view? I wonder if this is reproduceable.
