RogueRunner Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Will the Hornet ever have the feature, like the A10 to move the throttles out of the idle cutoff to start the engines? With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.
Captain Orso Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 It already does. I've been doing that from the get-go. You must have the indents mounted to the rear and have them configured. Go to category Throttle Quadrant and have your throttles levers pulled back to the indents, but not over them. Double-click the settings box under throttle - hotas for "Throttle (Left) - OFF/IDLE". When the pop-up appears, lift and pull the left throttle lever back to the full stop - it will assign JOY_BTN30 to the bind. Do the same for the right throttle, assigning JOY_BTN29 to "Throttle (Right) - OFF/IDLE". When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. rob10 Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 What Captain Orso said, but realize that with the A10 you just need the APU running and moving throttle over hump to start it, but with the Hornet you need to use the Engine Crank Switch - L/R cycle to start engine turning and wait until RPM's get to 20-25% before you move the throttle.
