Installed a fresh copy of open beta and noticed that many units are missing. On the left is the mission editor for stable and on the right is the mission editor for open beta. I have highlighted some of the missing units. I have tried to reinstall and repair but it does not fix it. Is this intended or is this broken? I can open a mission created in stable in open beta and the units appear in the list but only for that mission, opening a new mission reverts to previous state. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Look at the bottom bar of the editor. There will be an icon that looks like a watch. Click it and then check the unit list.

 

That icon controls "historical mode" which limits the units you can select based on the current date of the mission. Set a date to 1944 and it will only list WW2 objects. The feature purely acts as a filter to limit what is seen and you can toggle it on/off as you see fit.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
