RedTiger Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Hello DArt...checking in here. :) Does LOME have any randomization yet or is that still being worked on?
X_Man Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Dart - for LMR (LOCKON MISSION RANDOMIZER) to randomize start times of units, game start time (Waypoint 0) has to be set to game start time +1 second. EXAMPLE: USAAirGroup01 Game Start Time = 12:00:00 to Ramdomize, Game Start Time = 12:00:01 There are no seconds in LOME (12:00 only) so after I duplicate my units in LOME, I am getting an error after changing the file from .lome to .mis LOME doesn't randomize start time and thus cannot do the job LMR does
DArt Posted August 26, 2008 Author Posted August 26, 2008 Hello DArt...checking in here. :) Does LOME have any randomization yet or is that still being worked on? I have just implement it, it is available in the nightly version : http://lome.dartsite.org/wiki/index.php?title=Nightly_version. I will add randomization on start time too, it is an interesting feature to add in LOME. Just a practical question, do you set a range for start time to make randomization as example: between 12:45 and 13:45? Thanks for your remarks:thumbup: [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
DArt Posted August 26, 2008 Author Posted August 26, 2008 Finally, I have implemented the seconds and the randomization for start time :) It will be included in the next nightly (the next after the r129 made on august, 22th) available in the next days. Again, thanks for your remarks, it helps me to make LOME a great LOMAC editor. Do not hesitate to test it! [ https://www.lotatc.com ]

DArt Posted August 26, 2008 Author Posted August 26, 2008 Thanks, be careful, the actual version on the LOME website DOES NOT included this work. I need some test before deliver it. I will post here when it will be available (tomorrow certainly) ;) [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
DArt Posted August 26, 2008 Author Posted August 26, 2008 Ok, you can get the nightly version here, with randomization on start time for group and set for seconds. For any problem, ask me! http://lome.dartsite.org/wiki/index.php?title=Nightly_version [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
RedTiger Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Hey DArt. One thing you might want to consider (if it isn't in already -- sorry, haven't had a chance to test it yet) is the option of randomizing whether things will appear at all AS WELL as the start time of things that are guaranteed to appear. In otherwords, some groups will always be on the map, just at random times. Others MAY BE on the map, you don't know for sure, its random. If you can do that, then with LOME you'd pretty much have total control over everything! :)
DArt Posted August 26, 2008 Author Posted August 26, 2008 With my modifications, you can choose for EACH group, its start time. If you want for one (or severals) group to appear between 12:00 and 13:10, you set this only for wanted groups. Others group will appears respectively at their start time. Be careful, the randomization is applied on mission export. So if you want to make a new random start time, you will need to re-export the mission again, I cannot make better because LOMAC cannot manage random time ;) [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
X_Man Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Dart - Thanks for your hard work! I will download right now :)
GTengineer Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) DArt, I have been playing with LOME for a few hours and it all looks awesome. However I am having a problem when I add a group, I am unable to modify the "Plane" tab unless I have chosen an A-10 in the SubGroup. For example if I change A-10 to F-15C, I can no longer change things like skill of the specific plane, or payload (Plane tab is all grey). In fact all "Plane" tabs are greyed out for all airplanes except A-10. Not sure if this is a bug or if I am just doing something wrong. X_Man Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Dart - I love the additions! Ok What I did was created a mission in LOMAC, imported it into LOME to duplicate missions which worked. When I saved the .lome, that worked too. The problem was exporting to LOMAC, the .mis isn't saving. Where can I email you the .lome? it's a .440 MB file

Do you select the plane in the tree list on the right of screen? It will automatically select the plane tab and allow you to make changes. In fact, always use the tree view to select object to modify, the tabs adapt themselves following the current object type. Dart - I love the additions! Where can I email you the .lome? it's a .440 MB file You can send it at lome (at) dartsite dot org  From now, LOME need stabilization, I make lot of tests but I cannot test all features, so do not be afraid if there is LOMAC export problem, I have any documentation of how it works, so I spend hours to try how to export correctly. Morever, there is a lot of problems when you have MEInit.xml modified (new payload, modified plane) that I cannot reproduced easily. So if you have problems on export, send me your lome file, I will check that (try to say me if you have some MEInit mods, it could help me). Thanks for helping LOME to be a great Mission Editor for LOMAC. [ https://www.lotatc.com ]

I'll try again tonight but yes I was selecting the plane on the tree and then selecting the "Plane" tab. It was not working with any plane other than A-10. P.S. I am using the nightly version. Ok, very strange :D Can you send me the file lome.exe.log in the LOME directory, there is certainly some interesting things inside for me ( lome at dartsite dot org ). Have you some mods that modified LO as AdA mod or others? Thanks for your report. [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
DArt Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Just a little doubt, do you try to change airplane type by selecting the subgroup (parent node of plane one) and select new plane in the unit list? (sorry if you already do this, but perhaps it is only a UI not intuive :) it is the correct way to change an aircraft type) ? [ https://www.lotatc.com ]

I will send you the file later on tonight (or morning for you :D ). Q6600 @ 3.8GHz, 8GB DDR2-1000, 8800GT 512MB, Vista x64, TrackIR4
DArt Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Ok, can say me for my last post too (number #91) please (it could explain all :) ) Have a good day, I will go to bed now :D [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
GTengineer Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 DArt, email sent with log file. It is indeed giving an error in the log file. Cheers. Q6600 @ 3.8GHz, 8GB DDR2-1000, 8800GT 512MB, Vista x64, TrackIR4
GTengineer Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Thanks for fixing the error DArt, I tried the latest nightly and it is working fine for me it seems. Q6600 @ 3.8GHz, 8GB DDR2-1000, 8800GT 512MB, Vista x64, TrackIR4
DArt Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 Thanks for fixing the error DArt, I tried the latest nightly and it is working fine for me it seems. Well... to be honest, I have not fixed sommething for your problem :D However, I have done lot of things since the last version you have used before :smartass: Perhaps it was a problem with handbook.lome generation that store all LOMAC data for LOME... I have made some fix in it. So, I am happy to solve problems without doing anything :P lol [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
GTengineer Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 So, I am happy to solve problems without doing anything :P lol LOL when you're good ... you're good ;) Working like a charm. Q6600 @ 3.8GHz, 8GB DDR2-1000, 8800GT 512MB, Vista x64, TrackIR4
X_Man Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Dart - I guess my mods are causing issues. Let me know if you need anything more from me. Thanks
DArt Posted September 1, 2008 Author Posted September 1, 2008 No, it is due to land/take off from aircraft carrier, that is not currently supported by LOME ( I am currently working to fix it ;) ) [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
