How to get switches on start panel to work with F-14 and other aircraft in DCS?

Hey everyone. I was intending to use my WW F-18 set up with other twin-engined aircraft in DCS, but I cannot get the switches on the start panel (the big panel attached to the throttle) to be detected for assignment to functions in other aircraft. The throttle and stick buttons all work fine. Any idea how to do this? Thanks!!

So you can't see the panel at all in DCS-Options-Controls?

It shows up as Win Wing F18 throttle, but when I try ro assign a function to a switch by selecting the function and moving the desired switch, the switch is not detected. They all work in the Hornet though. :\

Probably the fact that the Throttle and Start Up Panel come in on 2 different USBs so Windows assigns them as 2 devices. If assigning switches the Start Up panel needs to be used not the throttle

That one "got me" too for a little while
