Is it possible to slave the AIM9M to the HMCS for an off boresight A/A engagement?

So far I have not found it in the manual, and been unable to even make the HMCS SOI with AA mode enabled - unless I enable AA mode first with master arm OFF, HMCS as SOI, then master arm ON. As soon as you coolie switch forward, to make HUD SOI, which allows you to uncage the 9M seeker head, you are unable to make HMCS SOI again.

Also, I do realize that the 9M is not capable of as high off boresight shot as the 9X.

Cheers,

Ziptie

I think you're right, the 9M seeker is looking pretty much straight ahead so no advantage to having the HMCS tied to it.
