rick fowler Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Hi all first post and new to Helios and dcs. So basically I have 3 15.6 hanspree screens in this orientation left portrait middle landscape right portrait. I have managed to get a hornet cockpit on middle screen and can also get the left and right sides showing on middle, obviously they need to move over to the outer screens but I’m baffled to how I move them over. Can’t drag and drop it or copy and paste. How can I move them? I’ve asked on discord and Facebook but seems not many willing to lend a helping hand or busy with life ect. Anyone here be able to guide me a bit, looked on YouTube but nothing that’s really showing anything similar. google not throwing up and tutorials either. Many thanks in a advance

sharkfin61 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) Maybe it would be helpful if you state the version of Helios you are using. The 1.6 version gives you the possibility to decide on which screen you want to have, f.e. your instruments, displayed with a button click. It also configures the monitors Lua file that you have to choose later on in-game for the corresponding view. Important that you reset your monitors in the "Helios profiler" first. When each of your three displays shows up, you should be able to pick the instruments or levers you want to put them on the outer monitors. Did you check that document? Helios Guide Hi sorry latest edition from the website, I’ve setup my screens and it shows up in the software, so how would I put the left and right consoles say from the hornet onto the left and right monitors. I’ve tried dragged but does nothing I can see them on center screen but can’t move them off it. This is where I’m stuck at. Sorry if I’m not explaining it well I’m still trying to understand this software so won’t be at all experienced at this as yet. I have a read of the instructions on it again but if I’ve yet to see anything on how to move consoles from middle to leg or right unless I’ve totally missed, which at my age is possible!! ????

rick fowler Posted October 11, 2020 Author Posted October 11, 2020 Ok progress, well who knew by highlighting the layer and copying the file and pasting it into the left and right monitors. If only this was said two days ago to me. I just went in today with photoshop in my head as use that a fair bit for work. And voila both have something on it now. One question i would like to ask before I’m in my merrier way, can I enlarge the modules or are they pre fixed and can only move em.

You can enlarge f.e. the certain instruments by selecting them with a double click and grabbing the outer border. A new tab should open. But be careful, if the module contains several smaller items, like pointers or lamps, you have to press the Ctrl key too. Otherwise you might just scale the background. You may also alter the size in the right pane of the Profile Explorer. Dn‘t know of the artful background of the consoles can be resized too.
