JEFX Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Hi all! Sorry to ask this stupid question, I know it was discussed before but I did search the forums without finding the answer... I always thought that an Airbase becomes ennemy when an ennemy flight is schedule to takeoff from it right? I am surprised to see that even if I put an ennemy flight taking off at a specific airbase, my stupid AI (friendly) when out of fuel will still go and try to land at this same AB, therefore getting killed by nearby SAM... What is the trick to prevent AI to land everywhere? to just RTB when needed if I assign a CAP flight WP 1 (begin loop) and WP 2 (end loop)? thanks JEFX [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust... Brit_Radar_Dude Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Agreed. Whenever I have seen that question in the past, the answers by old Lockon hands have always been that to make an airbase for one side then you set an aircraft to take off in a few hours / days in the future. JEFX Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 Thanks Brit I just made again a quick experiment and you are right, I must have done something wrong last time. Thanks again! Grimes Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Speaking of the "days" timeslot in the ME.... what exactly does it do? The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. RedTiger Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 If its what I think you're talking about, it specifies the day of the year the mission is on. I think default day 1 is some day, in June 2004, the 22nd maybe? In the end, it dictates how much daylight and night time you have, based on that regions position on earth. It also controls which stars and constellations you see in the sky, which is cool. :)
