PoorOldSpike Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) I set all his waypoints to 500 feet above ground level, so why doesn't it read 500 instead of 5227? Edited October 14, 2020 by PoorOldSpike
David OC Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) It's AT sea level. 500 feet above sea level would be 500 feet. The ground where you are is 5000 feet (above sea level), then add the 500 feet etc. Example When you set a way-point and put a zero in the elevation height. Then click away, it will change to the elevation above sea level at that spot. Also, if you go into the F10 map when playing. You can see the terrain height elevation change at the mouse pointer, when you move it around. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeronautical_Code_signals https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest_airports Edited October 14, 2020 by David OC i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing.
