G3 Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 i would like to create missions for some online multiplayer action and was wondering if i can get away with installing just the plain original lockon on my laptop to create missions but then fly them on FC 1.12b i know there are problems playing track files or different versions so i am thinking it probably won't work. but would like to not have to carry my FC cd with the laptop for when it asked to check the disc. sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere.
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Things that spring to mind are a) you won't be able to generate any Su-25T missions. b) you won't be able to place static buildings as that ability was added in FC. I guess the obvious answer is to try to fly a v1.02 mission in FC and see if it works. I've never tried it myself. I've tried flying FC missions on a v1.02 setup in the past, and they worked reasonably well. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
Weta43 Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I had missions that I built in LO that I just copied over to LO.FC & for the most part they run OK - Some units act differently between the 2, but you could do a reasonable amount of work on the mission on 1.02, then add the finishing touches & 'tune' it on LO.FC Cheers.
G3 Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 thanks guys, mud is a little clearer now. having a blast creating missions, it gets pretty complex pretty quickly, and these are relatively basic and only small numbers of aircraft.
