This is a metallic texture thing for DCS, so while in the editor it may look lighter, certain lighting conditions can affect it. The graphics team have informed me that the texture was updated in engine and in order to fix this, the whole model would have to vbe redone, all the skins re-worked and then everyone else with custom skins would also have to update their skins.

As in IRL there are many variances between how metals discolor. As it stands now it will remain as is in the interest of keeping everyone's skins intact and considering it weathering down the road.

Marking AS INTENDED and moving to RESOLVED

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

myHelljumper, when you look at aviation photo sites like Jetphotos.com and Airliners.net, you do find lots of M2000s with exhausts as you've shown. But you also find photos of much darker exhausts and shiny ones as well. The Brazilian jet's exhaust is extremely dark. Both AdA jet's exhaust look dark and shiny to my eye. And the HAF jet's exhaust is very bright, but I showed since it's quite shiny. It seems all the exhausts (yours and these here) all look quite different depending on age, maintenance, light, and even photographer's Adobe Lightroom edits.

Either way, hope we can all enjoy the Mirage eye-candy. :)
