Triggerhappy69 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 between all the passion and critics ...the question " why do we like lockon" sounds really freshing and positive yeah... we like it :thumbup: Every now and then I come across postings that makes me smile..:) And here's one that will be in my all time favourites hall of fame..! Why do we like LockOn..? Because we do..! We all know we like LockOn..! We simply wouldn't be here, on this forum, if we didn't. But all of us now being some place in between the "0ld" LO we all love playing, and in waiting in antisipation for the Blackshark to be relased. We are kind of suspended in a state of knowing something better is almost within reach, and practicly tasting the sensations it will give us. And being painfully aware of the fact that IT WILL BE BETTER THAN LOCKON..! But it will NOT BE LockOn..! LockOn has made this comunity.! It has gathered us all for whatever reason we all have.! Being it squadrons, online playing, orgnized Squad vs. Squad challenges, or just the simple joy of having a common "bullseye" for all of us. So that we can share thoughts, ideas and improvements. And actually be heard..! I had NO online gaming experience before LockOn. And don't really play any other games. But hey.. that's just me being a simple guy.! So you can imagine my jaw dropping wjen I first joined a squadron, and saw the amount of work and organisation that was put into running this.. And the level of expertise amongst guys that have no connection to the aeronautical industry at all. I have seen guys working in "on-the-foor" jobs showing a true leadership potential.! Working a 6 ship fighter flight and not missing a beat..! (witch is really strange considering how all you fighter-jocks go on and on and on on TS! It leads info overload for us simple bomber guys:music_whistling:) I have had the true pleasure of flying wingman for someone I have never even seen in real life. And still would consider a friend..! I have come in contact with people from Indonesia to Poland and found them all to be just oridinary guys like me. Thinking ordinary thoughts, and having ordinary problems with extraordinary sollutions.. And it would not have happened without LockOn.! Sure, I would like to say that what I like about LockOn is dropping from 5000m down on a convoy of mixed targets. Dropping my bombs WAY to high.. flatting.. do an inverted immelmann to find myself perfectly lined up on the convoy, and then ingress again with Gunpods blazing taking out the remains..
