rattler Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 I thought you might be interested in what can be done with v1.02. Not as fancy as FC but got some cool things working. My ground crew is only one person but he is animated and I have two, which walk down the sides of the A/C like they are checking things out before departure. At least I have no texture problems, works great. Scenery is nice and the F18 is really nice to fly.So here are a few pics just to show that v1.02 can look good. Can't say how it would play online but single player missions are stable.Anyway just something of interest.:)

Your ground crew looks good, where did u get it? tacit Tomcatz made an early version of ground crew that were static, one in a green vest the other in a red. I modded the face,cloths and only used the one with the red vest. Used the same method to animate like his second mod which conflict with Parking Mod, this one does not conflict. You basically give it a route to follow and adjust the speed to its lowest setting and you get a walking pace with arm movement and head movement like he is looking around for stuff. You can also use him as a static object if you wish. I think I would have to get Tomcatz permission to give it away. If you or anyone else would like it, I would contact Tomcatz and ask him permission. By the way a lot of FC addons work with v1.02 depending what they are and some need a tweak or to to work , like the ALS lights, which I have working. I like v1.02 better than FC not just because of SF but for all the mistakes they made when they (downgraded) to FC. Certainly was not an upgrade to LockON v1.02. Let me know if you are interested and I will do my best to see you get what you may be interested in. Maybe we can do it through a PM or e-mail and I would explain what to do. Not hard.:thumbup:

Now, to be honest I find it not so attractive in the flightsim. The ALS with the mod somebody made for v1.02, is fine with me. But, since u are a specialist, may I ask you in case some interesting mod comes out for FC, if we can tweak it to v1.02? Just a question... Thanks again for ur comments. tacit The answer to the FC question is going to be strange as the answer is yes and no. It depends on what the mode is. I have the scenery mod beta works ok no tweaks, same for LOreload, no tweaks, Als need a couple of tweaks, at least for me. I am using the F18 VFA-204 mod and I think I had to tweak because of that. MEINT.xml file, and a couple of others. I wanted to be able to see from a distance so I have small white squares instead of the rounded effect of the lights alone, at least till I figure out how to make them brighter for distance. If an FC mod comes up that you would like in v1.02, contact me and we will see how to get it working. Not all FC will work with v1.02 but a lot will, just got to tweak it different.
