Tippis Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 It's a pretty minor thing, all things considered, but the bugfix in the Dec 17 patch where “INS off has no impact” means that the autostart script now leaves the pilot with a master caution alarm and an aircraft that won't really fly. It used to be that, with the bug in place, you ended up with an aircraft ready to take off but which was misaligned and the navigation would be off by a nautical mile or five. Now, since the INS knob position actually matters, you only get a backup horizon on the HUD and the accompanying caution light and noise. Even before, you had to actually align the aircraft so that part shouldn't really change, but it would be helpful if the autostart script actually took this bugfix into account and moved the INS knob into a position where the HUD comes alive and presents a flyable aircraft without caution alarms. ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. One cannot land; the other shoots friendlies. You are a Goon. ❧ ❧
RAZBAM_ELMO Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Thanks for the info Tippis. Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass. — Dave 'Preacher' Pace, USN.
