the radar disc on the E-3 is modeled in the model of the aircraft I believe, so to have a kc or rc 135, you'd have to make a new model. Im not very familiar with the model of these aircraft, for all I know there could already be a E-3 aircraft in LockOn. If not you'd have to build one from scratch or find a free model somewhere.

1) Not more or less hard than any other plane. You cannot transform the 3D model from LockOn, you'll have to create your own.

2) I think yes. But your question should be "who wants"

3) I do, but I think the KC135 should be linked with the KC10, and the RC-135 with the E3, allowing to choose one or the other of those planes for missions :) (and for hose and probe ops, you'll want to link the KC-135 with the Il-78 )

Hmmmm sounds interesting thanks :thumbup: next question, will it be CAW compatable, not a big point but if at all possible or I'll have to reload FC. I've tried having multiple copies of FC without any joy, I have tried doing it the way TDW suggests but ........... just won't work

I don't know it will be CAW compatible :) Probably if TDW finds the time to do it :)

 

About multiple installs, just duplicate your lockon folder, apply the mods correctly and launch the game from within the desired game folder :)

Actually, about applying "correctly" the mods, the trick is to have modman pointed to the "good" install. Either reconfigure modman or swap lockon folders names between "standard"/"original" one and the copied one like :

- copy your LO_Default original Lockon folder to LO_Modded folder (LO_Default, LO_Modded are just names used as example, you can have whatever you want...)

- rename LO_Default -> LO_Backup and LO_Modded -> LO_Default

- apply the mods with modman to the new LO_Default (ie originally the LO_Modded)

- rename the folders the other way around : LO_Default -> Lo_Modded, LO_Backup -> LO_Default and then launch Lockon from the LO_Modded folder or LO_Default : you now have a double install : LO_Default is still your regular install, LO_Modded contains the funky mods you want to try :yes:)

Guys, it's no reason to remake the existing model. It is the worst among all present models in LO - it doesn't have even the working flaps.

So it will be needed to make a new one, incl. the E-3A

In case you guys have the necessary time left, I beg you just mod the latest version RC-135V/W Rivet Joint (the one with the big nose and the new engines).

This new mod would even replace the E-3A with the -B model.

I'm really not sure we will get the opportunity to do it :) It will mostly depend on bpao, who has so nicely provided us with a lots of splendid 3d models (Jaguar, F-5, J-7, a liner, F-8, KC135...) :)

 

But who knows... :)

Hi HubMan,

 

1) I'm confident and I guess time will come to mod the RC-135V/W. The fact is, no campaign, no mission is going to have success without this recon/elint aircraft. It paves the way for the different planning stages. Not to mention the E-3B as a command and control asset to guide different branches of aviation units to the target. Both units are very sophisticated and top notch!

 

2) Naturally, the KC-135 with the new turbofans would be a good move too.

 

Well, let me say this: I'm very impressed of the French members of this community who manage to do so much for LO!!

Unfortunately no I didnt now the owner of a G15 which is going back to the store because I found the casing had cracked, This is not a good 6 weeks I've lost 2 x 26in LCD monitors, my keyboard and the Firehouse Laptop took a dive because some idiot downloaded stuff from a porn site when he used it and managed to find a virus, needless to say that idiot does not work for our Fire Dept any more.
