jsirk1 Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 While flying the F18 in multiplayer, I slewed my FLIR pod to a target while orbiting it. Using my SCS I set my target to an area track and made an attack run. When trying to switch targets, I undesignated using my NWS button, and then using my HUD I set my next target. When trying to use the FLIR to fine tune it I noticed that as soon as I designated a target the target began moving in a random direction without any input from my TDC. It would only stop moving when I used my SCS to switch to an area track. Is this happening to anyone else or is this part of the F18. I'm relatively new to the F18 but I have an actual F18 pilot telling me this is not supposed to happen. Thanks!
Tholozor Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 (edited) Check your TDC axis bind if it's receiving phantom input and add a deadzone. There's also a known issue with designating a TGT point using the HMD if you're using that. jsirk1 Posted December 28, 2020 Author Posted December 28, 2020 (edited) This is not the problem. Another player I was flying with had the exact same problem. Also, I am using a 4-way hat on my throttle so there is no axis. I did only start having this problem after designating with my HMD. So this may be the issue. Edited December 28, 2020 by jsirk1
