mtd2811 Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 Sorry to say, ED do not provide Empirical feedback, this is why people do this themselves. ED do read, and often they learn from the feedback, but they always ask us for tracks and empirical data because often the vague feedback doesnt help them refine the product. So, passing that on, an opportunity was missed to see what frame times, stutters, FPS changed with what settings. Thats all. “Opportunity missed”Frame times at 45solid on the ground and 45 up to 75 depending on altitude as I noted above in earlier post in MP even with medium-high shadows on , which I couldnt have before. Thats what was changed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Glide Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I can turn the stutters on and off at will by simply flipping the terrain textures from High to Low. Try this. Launch a mission where you start at Beirut. As soon as you spawn in the cockpit, turn your head back and forth across the city. It will stutter like crazy, but it will get better after 2 or 3 turns of the head. This is the shader cache thrashing to get shaders into memory for all the geometry that is coming into the viewport. Turn the terrain textures to low, and I can turn my head without stutters at all. This is because the shaders are in memory waiting to be called. It's broken.
