WING/EXT TRANS switch not functional

ORIDE — When WoW , Wing and external tank still able to refueling . L/R Wing refueling to 2100/2100 pound , L/R external tank refueling to 500/0 pound .(start refueling at 50% fuel , loaded empty tank on ME)

AUTO/OFF — when WoW , Same as ORIDE .

Additionally the OFF position disables this transfer but can be overridden automatically to AUTO when the INST test is performed on the MTS panel, the refuel probe is set to ALL EXTD or when dumping fuel.

Only REFUEL PROBE switch in ALL EXTD will override WING/EXT TRANS switch to AUTO position . And DUMP switch should override it too , but no .

As for ground pressure refueling, I think the in cockpit fuel switches setting are not relevant for refueling at all.

 

As for wing ext transfer switch, in addition it should also be overridden to auto if either fuel level sensor in tanks no.2 or no.5 gets uncovered.
