September Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 I have the clickable cockpit toggle bound to one of the side buttons on the mouse for all my modules. Seeing as I play with a gamepad and keyboard mouse combo it's really difficult without it. I understand you can double click the middle mouse button but that's as ergonomic as just reaching over to the keyboard. I can't rebind the mouse button with the default software, maybe some third party software anyone knows of?
XpRiV Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Quote No I mean the one that's usually assigned to LAlt+C on the keyboard, I managed to make it work myself by cannibalizing the lua file from another module but I don't get why it's locked from editing by default. I added this line manually to the default.lua file in the mouse folder {combos = {{key = 'MOUSE_BTN4'}}, down = iCommandCockpitClickModeOnOff, name = _('Clickable mouse cockpit mode On/Off'), category = _('General')} I tried to copy the diff file from the saved games but it didn't work, sorry if I'm not clear Morning, This was posted by mcgrips in a topic called "Can't assign mouse button" posted on the 26th Nov 2020. Worked for me. ASUS TUF Gaming B760M PLUS WiFi - i7-14700KF - Zotac RTX 4080 Super - 64GB DDR5 - 4TB M.2 SSD - Thrustmaster Warthog - Samsung G5
Gary Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 This works for me. I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
XpRiV Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Just a heads up, i tried the clickable_common method and it works although you still have to activate it with Alt+C. The only thing i didn't like about it was that the cursor would end up pointing off centre. I'm going to have a play about with the lua to see if it is possible to stop it from doing that.
