Vekkinho Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I often visit Russia today website but during recent development in Georgia most of the video files act pretty weird. Thankfully I am at work away from home since wednesday (6th August) and I'm using my company's computer. We've got pretty solid, hackproof HW equipment that warns each time something weird or malitious might happen. So, each time I'm about to play some videos published over at Russia today website I'm being warned of a threat. I was discussing this matter with a friend of mine and he tried doing the same using his private PC. Today he phoned me and said his computer always restarts when RT video preload reaches 100%. He ran a virus, spyware and intrusion checks and now has to reinstall Vista. Well, curiosity killed the cat! Just a little heads up for the rest of you guys! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
bandera Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Does your friend from Croatia? May be it a problem of general provider of your country? I can't believe that all russian sites hacked.
Excelsior Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 RT HACKED RT attacked In the course of the last 24 hours RT’s website (www.russiatoday.com) has endured numerous DDoS attacks, which have made it unavailable for some time. Channel’s security specialists say the initial attack was carried out from an IP-address registered in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. RT’s team apologizes for the inconvenience and gives a list of comprehensive external resources on the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict which can be used, should the attacks continue. http://www.russiatoday.com/news/news/28835 "No matter where you go, there you are" Intel E-8400 "Wolfdale" - Asus Maximus Formula - Swiftech H2O 120 4 Gb G.Skill PC2-8000C5 - EVGA 8800 GTS 512 - Dell 2707WFP WD Caviar 500Gb - Vista 64
