Star Force activation question

At first, Lockon is the best flight simulation right now! And I'm waiting for Black Shark, when is the release date :music_whistling:

 

OK, here my question: I can not understand, when I have to reactivate Lockon. At my hardware nothing changed, but Lockon says no! "The hardware was change and now you must reactivate Lockon."

OK, OK, I changed the CPU Cooler, but this is not the real reason, isn't it?! Sorry, I can not understand this. Now I have only 2 activations left.

 

What is the problem?

if you didn't change any of the hardware it shouldn't ask you to reactivate...

Right, but yesterday I have to reactivate Lockon (no hardware changed but the CPU cooler) and I know other people they must reactivate Lockon although nothing changed in the hardware config. Strange!

Or is it a software problem?

only thing I can think off is that OS might see new CPU being installed (happened to me once) if you've taken it out of the motherboard and back in when you installed new CPU cooler/fan which could trigger starforce requiring new activation key.
