Initializing input

I just got into lock on this morning and the starting loading screen froze at "initializing input"... Tried restarting and disconnecting my joystick, but it still freezes in the same exact point every time.

right click your desktop icon

select properties

select "run as admin"

 

OK

 

 

Repeat for any other applications you have running whilst LOMAC is on (teamspeak, Ventrilo, flightstick software)

Tried to do that, still no go. Tried simply closing everything unnecessary, still no go. Tried reverting back to 1.11 and still nothing :cry:

Make SURE you installed the correct 1.12 patch. There are different versions of 1.12 for various media, and locales.

 

of course -at this point you'll likely need to reinstall anyway.

 

In what form did you purchase Flaming Cliffs? Lock on gold? Downloaded ?

I have the cd version of lock on, and I have the digital download version of FC.

I'm going to try and reinstall LOMAC and flaming cliffs.

OK good- but get the RIGHT PATCH. There is a SPECIFIC 1.12 patch for owners of the DOWNLOADED F.C.

O.k I reinstalled everything and I do not get the error.

I still have problems when loading an actual mission though... any ideas about how to fix that?

You'll need to be more specific. Chances are that if it was a mission created in another version it's not going to run right. I do know that the training missions were not updated for the latest version.

Pretty much any mission. It can be a mission I just made up in the editor, it can be one of the quick start missions in the main screen, it can be a mission someone else made in hyperlobby etc.

try the quick starts- jump into a hyperlobby server, or join one via direct IP
