X52 slider no longer works for zoom

I am using trackir and I mapped the "slider0" slider on my x52 to zoom in and out.

 

I have just installed flaming cliffs 1.12b and now the slider will only zoom when track ir is disabled.

 

Is there any work around/fix for this so I can use both at the same time because it was way better like that?
