Hi,

in Nevada map (not tested in others) if I set a waypoint's altitude to 0 in the cdu it nog longer is ground stabilised but moves along with the aircraft in the HMCS. Also slaving SPI to that steerpoint does move the TGP to the steerpoint but it keeps moving along with the steerpoint.

If you put the altitude on the surface (f.e 1857 on Nellis runway) it works okay.

Is this a bug or a feature ?

Does it move along 1:1 — that is, as you fly 1nm forward, the WP moves forward 1nm as well — or are you simply seeing paralax because the point of aim is below the ground and is moving at a different angular speed than the ground above it?

Hi,

at first I thought it was moving 1:1, but then I got different results with other altitude settings. For example : putting it not at 0 but at 1000ft below the surface it moved much slower. So I guess you're right.

I was thinking the database in the CDU would prevent that and correct the altitude to terrain-level but I guess it doesn't.

Thanks
