NASA Pilot Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 In 2.7 when VR hand controllers are enabled the plane refuses both hand controller input and stick (controller) input. The plane will move the cockpit stick and control surfaces for a split second when you input a control, than returns to center, even if the controller input is continued in the direction (ie full left deflection). Disabling VR hand controllers fixes this issue and everything works as normal. I have tried running repairs and everything to no help In addition this is without using VR hand controllers to control the stick and or selecting the stick with them. Im sorry if I explained it horribly as it is hard to put into words. Hope all is well, NASA Pilot
Svend_Dellepude Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Sorry if i don't understand, but did you check the axis bindings? Pointing devices will default be assigned to pitch and roll. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
NASA Pilot Posted May 2, 2021 Author Posted May 2, 2021 Nope all other axis bound to pitch and roll where removed other than the stick, rebinding did nothing as well. I even tried removing the keyboard controls to no luck. Only thing that fixed it was disabling the hand controllers.
RedHot Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I have the exact same issue. It occured right after the upgrade to 2.8. When VR hand controllers are enabled, the stick is flickering and the input from my HOTAS stick is staggerd to an extent where it is not possible to manouver the plane. I have been using hand controllers in VR for a long time to operate buttons and switches. Now I have to start using the mouse, which is not realistic. So, If anyone have a fix for this, it would be much appreciated I use a Thurstmaster Warthog stick base, with a Thrustmaster F18C Hornet stick. My VR headset and controllers are the VIVE Pro set.
RedHot Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Done some testing on this problem and found that the left VR hand controller is causing the problem. If I turn of the left controller and keep the right one on, there is no flickering when moving the hotas stick. I created a custom binding for the VR hand controllers using the steamVR settings, with a bear minimum of bindings -just the trigger and the grip. However, it still seme to be the left controller causing the problem. I see some of u are talking about axis bindings. Is there anywhere in DCS you can set bindings for pointing devices ?
